Soh Eng Hooi, a Malaysian, aged 52, is our Independent Non-Executive Director. She was appointed to our Board on 15 December 2020. She is the Chairwoman of our Audit Committee and Remuneration Committee, and a member of our Nominating Committee and Risk Management Committee. 

She graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) from the University of Malaya in 1994. She has been a member of the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants since 27 June 1998 and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants since 25 November 2014.

Upon graduation in 1994, she started her career at Arthur Anderson & Co. Kuala Lumpur (“AAKL”) as an Audit Assistant, where she assisted in audit assignments. In 2000, she was promoted to the role of Manager and was tasked with leading and supervising a team of auditors to undertake audit engagements for clients in various industries. In 2001, she left AAKL and joined Arthur Andersen Hua Qiang CPA, China (“AA China”) as Manager, where she was responsible for managing various audit assignments for clients of the firm. AA China subsequently merged with PricewaterhouseCoopers Zhong Tian CPAs, Co., Ltd. China in 2002.

In August 2003, she resigned from PricewaterhouseCoopers Zhong Tian CPAs Co. Ltd, China and thereafter, took a career break to travel across the world. Subsequently, she resumed her career in 2004 and became a Director of Axial Capital Sdn Bhd, a boutique corporate advisory service company, where she was primarily responsible for its overall operations. In 2008, she stepped down from her executive role in Axial Capital Sdn Bhd and joined Moore Stephens AC (currently known as Baker Tilly AC (“BTAC”) as a result of a merger exercise in 2012) as Executive Director, where she was involved in overseeing all aspects of operation of the audit division. In 2014, she left BTAC and founded EH Soh & Partners, an audit firm where she presently serves as its Managing Partner.

Currently, she sits on the board of Integrated Logistics Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market as its Independent Non-Executive Director since 2018. She also sits on the board of Warisan TC Holdings Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market, as its Independent Non-Executive Director since 2020. Between 2017 and 2020 she sat on the board of SMRT Holdings Berhad, a company listed on the ACE Market as an Independent Non-Executive Director. She also holds directorship in several private limited companies.
