Lau Chyun In
Independent Non-Executive Director

Lau Chyun In, a Malaysian, aged 31, is our Independent Non-Executive Director. She was appointed to our Board on 15 June 2021. She is a member of our Remuneration Committee and Nominating Committee.

She graduated with Bachelor of Laws from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom in 2013. She has also obtained a Certificate in Legal Practice in December 2017 and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 14 December 2018.

Upon graduation in 2013, she started her career at Kington Tan Dzul as a Paralegal, where her major duties included handling project files for the conveyancing department.

In November 2014, she joined Southern Star Legal as a Paralegal and was based in its office in Guang Zhou, China. As a Paralegal, she was tasked with translation assignments, as well as assisting clients with applications for Australian citizenship and real estate property transactions in Australia.

In April 2016, she left Southern Star Legal and returned to Malaysia. Thereafter, she took a career break to study for the Certificate in Legal Practice examinations, which she passed in November 2017. She was subsequently awarded with a Certificate in Legal Practice that qualifies her to be a legal practitioner in Malaysia.

In February 2018, she began her pupillage at Abraham Ooi & Partners and in December 2018, she was then offered a position as a Legal Assistant in the firm’s conveyancing department. During her tenure at the firm, she was responsible for drafting agreements, conducting legal research as well as liaising with governmental bodies and clients. She left Abraham Ooi & Partners in April 2020.

In August 2020, she joined Syarikat Mohamad Salin Sdn Bhd, a company involving in the business of building and electrical construction works, as a Group Junior Legal Officer cum Company Secretary, where she oversaw statutory compliance matters and managed legal matters, including contract negotiations.

In May 2021, she resigned from Syarikat Mohamad Salin Sdn Bhd to join Sim See Hua Brothers Sdn Bhd, a company involving in the business of building construction and property development, as a Group Legal Officer cum Company Secretary, where she is responsible for overseeing corporate secretarial matters of the company.
